To be successful, every organization must have a well thought out set of
objectives. But equally important is a solid action plan on how to
accomplish those objectives. At Saddleback United, we are committed to
delivering a quality experience for our members based on the objectives
set forth.
|
Below is a description of some of the things that we are doing to
achieve our objectives:

Comprehensive Curriculum:
a pre-requisite to achieving excellent results is having a well
thought out plan. Starting with concepts learned by Joy in her
playing and coaching career, each team will have a curriculum that
is focused on the specific needs of each individual team. A key
focus for all teams will be teaching the kids the relationship
between actions/choices and results.

Commitment to Positive Coaching:
Saddleback United is committed to maintaining a positive coaching
environment
 that
has a dual
focus
of striving to
win, but more importantly to teach children life lessons through
soccer. To do this, the club has earned and will maintain the Seal
of Commitment
through the Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA). The program includes
mandatory training for all club administrators and coaches, along
with optional instruction for parents
and players. The PCA program will help our coaches and
administrators to further develop their communication techniques to
improve their effectiveness in working with the kids without having
to resort to intimidation or other negative tactics.

Thoughtful Selection Process:
the success of our club greatly relies on the type of members that
we allow in. For us, it is not enough for a child to be a great
athlete. Our selection process looks at a childs talent, eagerness
to learn and work hard, and the objectives of the parents. It is
more important for us to find members that understand and value our
philosophy, than to have a group of great players that have
objectives contrary to ours.

Community Service:
living in South Orange County, our kids are seldom see the tougher
side of life. Also, we realize that without the strength of our
community our organization would not exist. As a result, Saddleback
United is committed to providing opportunities for our members to
participate in community service events that will help teach our
members important life-lessons while at the same time help to
improve the community in which we live.

Manageable Size:
our objective with Saddleback United is to create a special place
for top-level soccer players to learn about life and the game. In
order to do this, we will always be more focused on the quality of
the program that the number of teams.
